Community Planting – Tepary Beans

“Ba:wĭ have sustained the Tohono O’odham for generations. Grown in the blistering hot summer of the Sonoran Desert, Ba:wĭ are the most heat and drought tolerant crops in the world. Help SXCF staff plant Tepary beans!

Long sleeves, pants, closed toed shoes, and hat recommended. Bring a refillable water bottle. Water refill stations provided. Simple breakfast provided after planting.

When: Saturday, July 15th, 5am-8am
Where: San Xavier Coop Farm (8100 Oidak Wog), meet in conference room
