Pay Rate: $14.00 hr
Short Term Contract: 30-40 per week
Start: June 24, 2024, End: August 18, 2024

FUNCTION:
Under the general supervision of the Farm Manager and Administrative Manager, seasonal worker will perform tasks as needed to support the daily operations of the farm during our peak season (e.g. field work, events, office work, etc).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respect and uphold the values and mission of San Xavier Coop Farm.
  • Work with farm crew leads/departments and volunteers who will aid in field/garden maintenance, planting, operations, sales and/or administrative office duties.
  • Make sure workspace and storage spaces are kept clean and organized, as well as maintain inventory of tools, equipment and materials utilized while on duty.
  • Abide by all safety guidelines and trainings provided.
  • Attend any necessary trainings or meetings pertaining to farm operations/production.
  • All duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the above tasks. Shall also perform additional functions as time permits and needed by other departments assigned by Management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A self-starter and able to work effectively without supervision.
  • Able to comfortably lift 50-100 lbs repeatedly.
  • Excellent time management skills. Summer hours may vary depending on scope of work and may include early mornings or evenings to be beat the heat.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers and management.
  • Able to work as a team player.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must abide with Alcohol/Drug Free workplace requirements.
  • Knowledge of agriculture is a plus!
